Perhaps we should start by teaching ministers not to cross picket lines to give lectures on Marxism?
“Tristram Hunt MP, in a speech to AQA’s Creative Education Conference in London tomorrow, will argue that character, resilience and creativity are crucial in shaping the ‘schooling of the future’”
Or, a ton of cash from your parents who can pay for you to go to a top private school, and Oxbridge, allowing you to parachute into any industry you choose - particularly politics, particularly the Labour Party.
“Character is not best taught through adversity - its study belongs in the supportive, dedicated and aspirational communities that the best schools provide.”
What absolute cock
"Character” ffs, does he get paid to speak this shite. Character. Who is he to talk about character when he’s had a buy into a career. Such rhetorical bullshit.
What the fuck is an aspirational community? Where are they exactly? More rhetorical shite.
There is absolutely fuck all content in anything he’s said in that press release. Nothing. Rhetoric, bullshit, stock phrases, cliches, abstract shite.
These pricks can’t talk about hard work grit resiliance determination and all that shite when they’re the products of an elitist education system. It’s offensive. It’s not for them to talk about, even if you are education secretary, shut the fuck up.
Grit hard work and determination won’t tackle the class issues, which are the real reason a lot of schools are shite - like mine, whose GCSE pass rate was 3.2% when the national average was 75%.
